Thomas On motion of Mr. The President was directed to deliver our copy of said certificate to Mr. One of the Electors to be by him deposited in the Post Office in Annapolis Md. Addressed to the President of the Senate of the United States, at the seat of Government. Washington D. C. And one of the said certificates to Mr. One of the Electors, to be by him conveyed and delivered to the Judge of the District Court of the United States for the district of Maryland. The remaining Certificate was given to a special Messenger to be by him charged and delivered to the President of the Senate of the United States, at Washington D. C. Mr. Samuel J. Darrell was selected as such messenger The following credentials were prepared and after being duly signed by the Electors, were delivered to Mr. Samuel J. Darrel. Senate Chamber. Annapolis Md Janry 14, 1901. To all persons to whom it may concern, Know ye that we the Electors of President and Vice President of the United States of America, duly elected, in and for the State of Maryland having met at the City of Annapolis, on the day prescribed by Constitution and Laws of the United States, to perform the trust reposed in us, and having made out in due form Certificates and Lists of the votes given, and the persons voted for, and having confidence in the bearer. Mr. Samuel J. Darrell, was appointed and by these presents do appoint, and authorize him to take charge of one of said Certificates, and lists and with all convenient dispatch, to convey and deliver the same to the President of the Senate of the United States at Washington D. C. |
