    That we then and there, in pursuance of the Constitution
and Laws of the United States, proceeded to vote by ballot for
Vice President of the United States, and that on counting the
ballots, it was ascertained, that Theodore Roosevelt of the
State of New York had received eight votes, for Vice President of
the United States of America, and no other person was voted for.
        We further certify that there were distinct ballots for President
and Vice President.
    The annexed distinct lists of the said persons, with the votes given
to the same, are hereby returned by us, the Electors of President and
Vice President of the United States, in and for the State of
Maryland, in pursuance of the Constitution and Laws of the
United States, as having the aforesaid number of votes.
        Done at the City of Annapolis on this second Monday of January,
being the Fourteenth day of said January in the year
of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and one.
            In witness whereof we hereunto subscribe our hands and
affix our seals.

List of the persons voted for as President of the United States
of America, by the Electors of President and Vice President of the United States in
and for the State of Maryland.
    William McKinley of the State of Ohio, received eight votes for
President of the United States of America, no other person was voted fro.
    We hereby certify that the above is a true list of the person voted
for, by the Electors of President and Vice President of the United States, in and
for the State of Maryland, and the number of votes by him received.
            Witness our hand and seals, this second Monday and
Fourteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and one.
