202 1901. Proceedings of Electors of President and Vice President of the United States, in and for the State of Maryland. On the second Monday of January, being the Fourteenth day of said month, in the year Eighteen hundred and one, the day appointed by the Constitution and Laws of the United States on which the Electors of President and Vice President of the United States of America, are directed to assemble and perform the trust reposed in them, then appeared, at the hour of noon, in the Senate Chamber, in the State House, in the City of Annapolis Maryland (the time and place designated by Acts of Assembly for the meeting of said Electors) the following gentlemen who had been proclaimed by the Executive authority of the State to have been duly elected, Elector of President and Vice President of the United States, in and for the State of Maryland, To Wit: James E. Hooper Henry M. McCullough Robert M. Messick Albert E. Ohr Henry Brunt Adam E. King J. Frank Parran Alban G. Thomas The said Electors severally qualified by taking the oath prescribed by the Constitution to be taken by all Civil officers. On motion by Mr. A. E. Ohr Hon. Adam E. King was unanimously chosen President of the College, and was escorted to the Chair, by On motion by Mr. A. E. Ohr Mr. Harry Tuck Lively was unanimously elected Secretary to the College. On motion by Mr. A. E. Ohr A Committee of three was appointed to wait upon the Governor and inform him of the meeting |
