176 Annapolis Md. Jan. 24th 1889 The Electors reassembled in the State House on Thursday January 24th and having before them the sealed certificates and lists of the votes for President and Vice President of the United States prepared on the second Monday and fourteenth day of January instant, enclosed thereon the following memorandum; signed by each Elector. Maryland Annapolis Sct. We the Electors of the State of Maryland of President and Vice President of the United States do hereby certify that the lists of all the votes of the State of Maryland given for President, and of all the votes of said State given for Vice President are contained in this certificate. One of the certificates was then given to Mr. Combs, one of the Electors, to be deposited in the Post Office at Annapolis directed to the President of the Senate of the United States at the Seat of Government Washington D. C." One to Mr. Moale, one of the Electors, to be by him conveyed and delivered to " The Judge of the District Court of the United States for the District of Maryland. And the remaining one to Mr. W. G. Purnell Secretary of the College to be by him conveyed and delivered to the President of the Senate of the United States at Washington D. C. The purpose for which the Electors re-assembled was accomplished by the above proceedings. W. G. Purnell Secretary |
