We hereby certify that the above is a true list of the person voted for by the Electors
of President and Vice President of the United States, in and for the State of Maryland
and of the number of votes by him received.





The foregoing forms were adopted
To three certificates prepared by the Secretary according to the foregoing forms,
the Secretary attached severally one of the certificates furnished by the Executive
Authority of the State in obedience to the Laws of the United States.

    The said Certificates together with the Lists were duly signed and sealed
by the Electors
They were then folded and sealed and by direction of the President
one of said Certificates was delivered to Robert C. Combs one of the Electors
to be by him placed in the Post Office at the City of Annapolis addressed to
" The President of the Senate of the United States at the Seal of Government
Washington D. C.  One other of said Certificates was delivered to Isaac
Gorham Moale (one of the Electors) to be by him conveyed and delivered to
The Judge of the District Court of the United States for the District
of Maryland.  The remaining certificate was directed to be given to
a special messenger to be by him conveyed and delivered to the President
of the Senate of the United States at Washington D. C.

W. G. Purnell the Secretary to the College was selected as such
messenger.

The following Credentials were prepared and after being duly signed
by the Electors were delivered to Mr. Purnell

To all persons whom it may concern
                                                    Know      that we the Electors of President
and Vice President of the United States of America duly elected in
and for the State of Maryland, having met at the City of Annapolis
on the day prescribed by the Constitution and Laws of the United
States to perform the trust reposed in us and having voted and made
