for the four years from & after the third day of March next
ensuing, that we then and there in pursuance of the Constitution
and Laws of the United States proceeded to vote by
ballots for President of the United States of America and on
counting the ballots, it was ascertained that Abraham
Lincoln of the State of Illinois had received from votes for
President of the United States of America, that then and there
Andrew Johnson of the State of Tennessee was put in nomination
for Vice President of the United States of America for four
years from and after the third day of March next ensuing
that we then and there in pursuance of the Constitution
and Laws of the United States proceeded to vote by ballots
for Vice President of the United States of America, and on
counting the ballots it was ascertained that Andrew
Johnson of the State of Tennessee received from votes for
Vice President of the United States of America.
            The annexed Lists of the said persons with the votes
given to the same are hereby returned by us the Electors of
President and Vice President of the United States in and
for the State of Maryland in pursuance of the Constitution and
Laws of the United States as having the aforesaid numbers of
votes.
            Done at the City of Annapolis on the first Wednesday of
December being the seventh day of said month, in the
year one thousand Eight hundred and fifty-four.
                    In witness whereof we hereunto subscribe our
hands and affix our seals.






List of persons voted for as President of the United States
of America by the Electors of President and Vice President
of the United States in and for the State of Maryland.
                    Abraham Lincoln of the State of Illinois received
seven votes for President of the United States of America.
    We hereby certify that the above is a true list of the
persons voted for by the Electors of President and Vice
President of the United States in and for the State of Maryland.
