persons destroying wolves in the counties aforesaid, the beneficial

of the said recited act would be equally answered, |

XLIII. |
II. Be it enacted,
by the General Assembly of Maryland, That from and
after the end of this session of assembly, every person or persons who
shall
produce a certificate for the head or heads of any wolf or wolves, killed
in Washington or Frederick counties, given and obtained according to the
directions of the before-mentioned act, to the justices of the counties
aforesaid, at their levy court, shall, for every old wolf's head, be allowed
by the said justices only forty shillings current money, and for every
young
wolf's head twenty shillings current money, to be by the said justices
assessed
and levied in the county assessment, together with the collector's
commission for collecting the same, and to be paid by the said collector
to
such person or persons as shall be entitled to receive the same as aforesaid,
any thing in the before-mentioned act to the contrary notwithstanding. |

III. This act to have the same continuance
with the said recited act
and no longer. |

CHAP. XLIV.
A Supplementary ACT to the act, entitled, An act for building
a new church in the city of Annapolis. |

WHEREAS by an act of assembly, passed at a session
of assembly
begun and held at the city of Annapolis on the twenty-third
day of March, seventeen hundred and seventy-four,
trustees were appointed for the building a new church in the city of Annapolis,
who entered on the execution of the said trust, and purchased
materials, but were prevented from proceeding thereon by the commencement
of the war; |

II. Be it enacted,
by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the said
trustees be empowered and directed to proceed on the execution of the
trust reposed in them by the said act, and that they call on any person
or
persons who may have had any of the said materials, and oblige them by
suit or otherwise, to account for and pay the same. |

III. And,
whereas subscriptions were taken to a considerable amount,
but during the war several of the subscribers have died, and others have
removed, and therefore are not interested in the erecting of said church;
Be it therefore enacted, That the
said subscriptions shall not be collected,
and that the trustees be authorised to open a new subscription
for the purpose aforesaid. |

IV. And be it
enacted, That in case any of the said trustees shall die,
remove, or discontinue to act, the residue, or any three of them, may
choose one or more person or persons, as the case may be, to fill up the
vacancy. |
