province,
and for the encouragement of Anne Catharine Green, of
the city of Annapolis,

CHAP. XIX.
A Supplementary ACT to the act, entitled, An act to establish a road
from Hunting-creek,
in Dorchester, to Dover, in Talbot county.
At the next November court, a further
sum, not exceeding 3,500lb. of tobacco, is to be assessed, and
applied in the manner directed by the principal act. |

CHAP. XX.
A Supplementary ACT to the act to enable the visitors of Kent county
school,
for the time being, to lease out part of the land belonging to the
said school.
The visitors are authorised to lay
out ten acres of the school land, including the school-house and free-school
spring, for the use of the master, and to lease, for a term not exceeding
twenty-one years, any
part of the residue of the land, in such parcels as will best accommodate
lessees. The rents are to be applied,
at their discretion, to the benefit of the school. |

CHAP. XXI.
An ACT for turning part of a street called East-street, in the city
of Annapolis,
and for confirming the title of Thomas Jenings, Esq;
of the said city, to a lot
of ground therein. PR. |

CHAP. XXII.
An ACT to give Thomas Harrison further time to effect the removal of
a nuisance
in Baltimore-town, in Baltimore county.
Viz. two years from the time limited
by the act of November, 1766, ch. 22; and the penalty of his
bond is not to be forfeited provided he performs the condition within this
time. |

CHAP. XXIII.
An ACT to empower Mary Philpot, widow and administratrix of Brian Philpot,
late of Baltimore-town, in Baltimore county, merchant,
deceased, to sell the
real estate of her said husband, for the payment of
the debts of the said Brian
Philpot. PR. |

CHAP. XXIV.
An ACT for the building of a parish church and chapel of ease in Saint
John's
parish, in Queen-Anne's county.
The major part of the vestry is empowered
to build a church, on two acres of land, at a place called
The Nine Bridges, given by Thomas Wright; and to build a chapel of ease
at Tuckahoe bridge, as
near as may be to the old church. Upon their application, a power
is given to the justices of the county,
to assess in the present year, and the two next years, a quantity of tobacco,
not exceeding 100,000lb.
which, with the money or tobacco in their hands, that hath arisen during
the vacancy in the church, and
the money also which they may raise by the sale, at auction, of two acres
of land at Chicken bridge, belonging
to the church, they may expend in erecting the said church and chapel of
ease. |
