The truth of the matter in Controversie between the parties aforesaid by the
Court here being Seen heard understood and Maturely Deliberated It is thereupon
Considered that the Said William Groome Recover against the Said Cortny
Crotoffe As well the Sume of three hundred Seaventy five pounds of tobaccoe his
damages due upon the ballance of Account aforesaid as allsoe the Sume of two
hundred Eighty four pounds of tobaccoe to the Said William Groome of his
Assent for his Costs and Charges in this behalfe Sustained and by the Court here
Adjudged etc. And the Said Courtny Crotoffe in mercy etc.

Command was given to the Sheriffe of Prince Georges County that of the goods
Chatties and Creditts of the Said Richard Clarke he attach as well the Sume of
three hundred and fourteen pounds of tobaccoe a Certaine Debt for Damages
Recovered against him the fourth Tuesday in November Annoque Domini 1696
as allsoe the Sume of four hundred fifty Seven pounds of tobaccoe Cost of Suite
in the whole amounting to the Sume of Seaven hundred Seventy one pounds of
tobaccoe if Soe much Should be found in his balywick in the hand or hands of
any person or persons in this County and when he had the Same Attached or any
part thereof the Same in his hands Safely to keepe Soe that he have the Same
before the Justices of our next Prince Georges County Court to be held at Charles
Towne the fourth Tuesday in January Annoque Domini 1696 [1697] And Like-
wise at the time of Executeing the Said writt he give notice to all person or
persons in whose hands or possesion he Attached Such goods as aforesaid that
they be and Appeare before the Justices of our Said next Court to be held at
Charles Towne aforesaid to Shew Cause if any they have why the Said goods Soe
Attached Should not be Condemned and Execution thereon had and made etc.
Att which Said next Court (to witt) the 26th day of January Annoque Domini
1696 [1697] Came the Sheriffe and made Returne of the Said writt Endorsed on
