300 PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY

and forme as the plantiffe in his Decleration aforesaid hath Complained and
of this hee puts himselfe upon the Court. William Bladen. And the plan-
tiffe Alsoe. William Stone.

The truth of the matter in Controversie between the parties aforesaid by the
Court here being Seen heard and Maturely Deliberated and the wittneses
thereon being by the Court here heard and Examined It is Considered that the
Said Samuell Harrwood Recover against the Said Matthew Mockeboy as well the
Sume of two hundred and fifty pounds of tobaccoe his Damages aforesaid as
Allsoe the Sume of nine hundred and two pounds of tobaccoe to the Said
Samuell Harrwood of his Assent for his Costs and Charges in this behalfe
Sustained and by the Court here Adjudged etc. and the Said Matthew Mockeboy
in mercy etc.

Then Did the Court Adjourne for one hower.

Present. Mr. Thomas Hollyday, Mr. William Barton, Mr. John Wightt, Mr.

John Smith, Mr. John Hawkins, Commisoners.

Mr. Jonathan Willson and Charles Tracey Appeared in Court and desired
they might be Continued Ordinary keepers in Charles Towne and it was
granted unto them by the Court. Ordered that the Rates of Licquors Continue
the Same prizes as Last yeare.

[276] Ordered that all the Presmasters in this County be Sumoned to Appeare
here the next Court.

Mr. William Groome Refused to keep Ordinary any Longer.

Edward and Dudley Carleton plantiffe: Charles Baker Defendant

The plantiffe by William Stone their Attorney brought their Majesties writt
against the Defendant Returnable to this Court in a plea of trespass upon the
Case etc. for Seaventeen hundred ninty nine pounds of tobaccoe due by Account
as by the Account Appeareth (Viz.)

Charles Baker is Debtor to Edward and Dudley Carleton for Sundry goods bought
of Capt. William Penn. 1696.
