The truth of the matter in Controversy between the parties aforesaid being by
the Court here fully heard understood and Maturely Deliberated It is thereupon
Considered that the Said Gabrell Burnam Recover against the Said Edmond
Neale as well his damages in the premises to five hundred forty Seaven pounds
of tobaccoe the ballance of Account aforesaid as alsoe the Sume of two hundred
forty two pounds of tobaccoe to the Said [206] Gabrell Burnam at his Request
for his Costs and Charges in this behalfe Sustained by the Court here Adjudged
etc. And the Said Edmon Neale in mercy etc.
To his Majesties Justices of Prince Georges County Court the petition of
Allexander Harbert. Humbly Sheweth.
That whereas your petitioner hath a woman Servant Named Elizabeth Paul
who hath att Severall times unlawfully Absented her Selfe out of his Servis for
the Space of Eighty two dayes which he is Ready to Verrifye before your
Worships etc.
Therefore prayeth your worships Judgment According to Act of Assembly in
that Case made and provided. And he Shall Evar pray etc.
The above petition being Read unto the Court And the truth of the matter
by them duly wayed and Considered And it is made Appeare to the Court here
that the above petitioner hath much abused the Said Elizabeth Whereupon it is
the opinion of this Court that the Said Elizabeth Paul be free from her Said
Master the Last of this month And Inconsieration that her Said Master has
paid Severall Officers fees about the Said Elizabeth being presented for beareing
of a basterd Child upon which it is the opinion of this Court that her Said
Master doe not pay to the Said Elizabeth her freedome Corne and Cloaths.
The Court Adjourned for one hower and then Satt: (Viz.)
Present. Mr. Thomas Hollyday, Mr. John Wighte, Mr. Robert Tylor, Mr. John
Smith, Mr. Samuell Magruder, Mr. Thomas Sprigg, Comisoners.
Mr. Thomas Greenfeild produced in Court his Commission for Sheriffe of
Prince Georges County And at the Same time Appeared in Court Col. John
Addison and Col. Thomas Hollyday and proffered to be Security with the Said
Greenfeild for the Sheriffs place but by Reason here was not any bond already
writt According to Law it is ordered by this Court that the Said Greenfeild
Addison and Hollyday Appeare here the next Court And that the Clerk in the
meane time gett a bond writt According to Law and bring the Same to the next
Court.
Mr. Thomas Greenfeild tooke the Oath of Sheriffe etc.
Ninian Beall made oath that he Attended Six dayes as an Evidence for James
Moore at the Suite of John Rooke and Allowed one hundred and Eighty pounds
of tobaccoe.
Teague Tracey plantiffe: Francis Warnar Defendant.
Prince Georges County Ss. Francis Warner late of the County aforesaid
planter was Attached to Answer unto Teague Tracey of a plea of trespass upon
the Case etc.
And whereupon the Said Teague by William Bladen his Attorney Com-
