The plantiffe by his Attorney aforesaid haveing Issued out a writt against the
Defendant which Said writt was by the Sheriffe Returned that the Said De-
fendant was not to be found in his balywick and alsoe have Caused a Coppy
of the Decleration to be left at the house where he last was in this County And
Likewise it is testified on part of the plantife that the Said Defendant Liveth in
another County. Whereupon the Said Ninian Beall by his Attorney aforesaid
prayeth an Attachment against the goods Chatties and Creditts of the Said
Samuell Scott as well for the Sume of Seaven hundred Sixty three pounds of
tobaccoe the ballance Account aforesaid as alsoe the Sume of four hundred forty
and Seven pounds of tobaccoe his Cost and Charges in this behalfe Laid out
and Expended etc. And by the Court here it is granted unto him etc.
Thomas Dickison Desiers his marke may be Recorded (Viz.) a Swallow forke
on the Right Eare And overbilted and underbitted and Swallow forke on the
Left Eare.
Thomas Dickison Desiers his Daughter Mary Dickesons marke may be
Recorded being a guift from her God Father (Viz.) an overhalve on the Right
Eare and underbitted and underhalved and a hole on the Left Eare.
John Dickison desiers his marke may be Recorded (Viz.) a Swallow forke and
underbitted and Overbitted on Each Eare.
Phillip Gittings desiers his marke may be Recorded (Viz.) a Cropp and hole
on the Right Eare and a Cropp and three Slitts on the Left Eare.
February the 5th Anno: 1696/7
Severall of the Neighbourhood of Prince Georges County being Requested by
Francis Marberry and Moses Jones to goe with them and George Athey to take
notice of the bounds of a parcell of Land Called Thomases Chance Lying on
the South Side of the maine branch of Piscattaway Creek the Said Land being
formerly taken up by William Thomas and by him Sold to Robert Inglesby but
now in the possession of the aforesaid Marberry and Jones [201] The Said
Athey upon his oath doth declare that hee was with the Said Thomas and
Inglesby at a bounded black Oake Standing upon the Hills above the Said
Marberrys plantation neare an Indian Feild where the Said Thomas did Deliver
the Said Land to Inglsby telling him that was his first bound tree and alsoe that
he did goe with them to a bounded Red Oake Standing neare a bounded
Hickory which the Said Thomas did declare to be the Second bound tree of
that tract of Land the truth hereof the Said Athey did Affirme upon his oath
the day and yeare above written. Sworne before me. William Hatton.
The aforesaid writeing at the Request of Francis Marberry was ordered to be
Entered upon the Record of Prince Georges County.
The Court Adjourned for an hower and then Satt (Viz.)

Whereas it is Represented to his Excellency how that the matter depending
in the Commissaryes Office in Relation to the Estate of John Abington Deceased
is not yett made an End off. and being verry Sensible that Mr. James Cranford
Attorney at Law and one of the first Administrators hath dealt very dis-
ingeniously and dishonestly from first to Last in the management of that Con-
