CHAPTER 42.
AN ACT to change the name of the Trustees of
the Roman Catholic Asylum for widows in the
City of Baltimore, incorporated by chapter one
hundred and ninety-nine of the acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, of eighteen hundred and
fifty-four to that of "The Little Sisters of the Poor. "
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the name of the "Trustees of the
Roman Catholic Asylum for widows in the City of
Baltimore, " a corporation created by chapter one
hundred and ninety-nine of the acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of eighteen "hundred and
fifty-four be, and the same is hereby changed to that
of "The Little Sisters of the Poor, " and by that
name the said corporation shall hereafter be known,
with all the rights heretofore granted to said corpo-
ration under and by said act of eighteen hundred
and fifty-four, chapter one hundred and ninety-nine.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its approval.

CHAPTER 43.

AN ACT to regulate the building of mill dams on
streams where the public road crosses such stream,
and the keeping of the same in repair in Wicom-
ico county.
|
 
|
WHEREAS, it has been doubted whether the Public
Local Laws of Somerset county and Worcester
county, regulating the building of mill dams on
streams over which the public roads cross, are in
force in Wicomico county since its erection out of
the said counties, therefore:
