SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Governor shall

and a conveyance of a good title in fee-simple to the

same, or of a leasehold interest therein as the case

may be, to the State of Maryland. The Comptroller

to pay over to the grantor or grantors of said land,

on the certificate of said commissioners, or a majority

of them, of said purchase and conveyance of the

same to the State of Maryland, such sum of money

as said commissioners, or a majority of them, may

have agreed to pay for said lot, and also to pay over

to said commissioners, or a majority of them, such

sum or sums of money not exceeding seven thousand

dollars as they may by their certificate from time to

time require for buying and erecting said scales,

and for the erection of an office for the accommoda-

tion of the Inspector or Weigher, while in the per-

formance of his duties as such, and the fitting of

said lot for the purpose hereby designed; but the
