CHAPTER. 333.

AN ACT to provide for the settlement of the claims
|
 
|
of the clerks of Tobacco Warehouse, number one.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the. General Assembly of
|
 
|
Maryland, That the Comptroller be and he is hereby
|
Directed to
audit and ad-
|
directed to audit and adjust the claims of the late
|
just.
|
clerks of Tobacco Warehouse, number one, destroyed
|
 
|
by fire, and that the Treasurer be and he is hereby
|
 
|
directed to pay upon the warrant of the Comptroller
|
 
|
the amounts that may be due said clerks.
|
 
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
|
 
|
effect from the date of its passage.
|

AN ACT to appropriate the sums of money therein
|
 
|
mentioned to pay the claims of George W. Mur-
|
 
|
doch, J. W. Kalmey, J. Seth Hopkins and Com-
|
 
|
pany, Henry W. Jenkins and Son, Samuel Stewart
|
 
|
and J. E. Hayden.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
 
|
Maryland, That the Treasurer upon the warrant of
|

the Comptroller, who is hereby authorized and di-

rected to issue the same, be and he is hereby author-
|
 
|
ized and directed to pay to George W. Murdoch, for
|
 
|
taking care of and cleaning the House of Delegates
|
 
|
and committee rooms, for two years, and refiting and
|
 
|
repairing the same for the meeting of the present
|
 
|
session, under the order of the last House of Dele-
|
 
|
gates, the sum of three hundred dollars, to J. W.
|
 
|
Kalmey for work done in the Hall of the House of
|
 
|
Delegates and rooms connected therewith, under the
|
 
|
direction of M. Y. Kidd, Chief Clerk of the House of
|
 
|
|
