LAWS OF MARYLAND.
 

whatever sum may be paid into the treasury on ac-

 

count of the levy of Public School tax; for the free

 

school fund, such sums as may be received from the

Schools.

bonus from bank dividends, from stock standing to

 

the credit of said fund, and so much of the revenue

 

from the Washington Branch of the Baltimore and

 

Ohio Railroad as has been substituted for the surplus

 

revenue; to the several counties and City of Balti-

 

more for the education of colored children, to be ap-

 

portioned by the Comptroller in proportion to the

 

number of colored inhabitants in each county and

 

City of Baltimore, between the age of six and twenty-

 

one years, one hundred thousand dollars; for dona-

 

tions to colleges, academies and schools, thirty-eight

 

thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be

 

necessary, as per Acts and Resolutions of the General

 

Assembly heretofore passed; provided, that none

 

of the appropriations to colleges, academies and

 

schools shall be paid to any such institution, unless

quired by law; for the Colored Normal School, two

 

thousand dollars, provided the same be paid out of

 

the appropriation for colored schools to the Deaf

 

and Dumb Asylum at Frederick, thirty thousand

 

dollars; for the Maryland Institute for the promo-

 

tion of the Mechanics' Arts, three thousand dollars;

 

for the Maryland Institute for the Instruction of the

 

Blind as per act of eighteen hundred and sixty-eight,

 

chapter two hundred and five, fifteen thousand dol-

 

lars; to the Board of Managers of the Maryland

 

Institute for the education of Deaf and Dumb and

 

Blind Colored Children of this State, eight thousand

 

dollars; for the House of Refuge, fifteen thousand

 

dollars; for the House of Reformation and Instruc-

 

tion of Colored Children, ten thousand dollars; for

 

St. Mary's Industrial School, eight thousand dollars;

 

to the Maryland Industrial School for Girls, three

 

thousand dollars; to the Faculty of the College of

 

Physicians and Surgeons for Lying-in-Hospital for

 

Indigent Women in Baltimore city, three thousand

 

dollars.

To the Secretary of the Senate, three hundred
