JOINT RESOLUTIONS. 693 Department to be granted by the Congress of the United States, at its present session, for the improvement of navigation in the Susquehanna River, passed in such shape as shall require, that so much thereof as may be necessary for the purpose, shall be expended in removing the canal boats loaded with stone, which have been sunk in one of the channels of said river by the United States authorities, and such fragments of the two deflectors heretofore constructed by the same authority, as still remain in said channel; aad the residue in deepening the approach to the mouth of said river, by dredging.
