SCHOOLS.

For donations to colleges, academies and schools,
thirty-eight thousand dollars, or so much thereof
as may be necessary, as per acts and resolutions of
the General Assembly heretofore passed; provided,
that none of the appropriations to colleges, acade-
mies and schools shall be paid to any such institution
unless such institution shall have made a full report
as required by law; for the Colored Normal School,

Schools.

two thousand dollars; provided, the same be paid
out of the appropriations for colored. schools; to the
Deaf and Dumb Asylum at Frederick, twenty-seven
thousand dollars; for the Maryland Institute for the
promotion of Mechanics' Arts, three thousand dol-
lars; for the Maryland Institute for the instruction
of the. blind, as per act of eighteen hundred and six-
ty-eight, chapter two hundred and five, fifteen thou-
sand dollars; to the Board of Directors of the
Maryland Institute for the education of deaf and
dumb, and blind colored children of this State, eight
thousand five hundred dollars.

Proviso.

REFORMATORY INSTITUTIONS.

 

For the House of Refuge, fifteen thousand dollars;
for the House of Reformation and instruction for
colored children, ten thousand dollars; for St.
Mary's Industrial School, eight thousand dollars; to
the Maryland Industrial School for girls, three
thousand dollars; to Faculty of College of Physicians
and Surgeons of Baltimore for maintenance of "Ly-
ing in Hospital for indigent women, " three thousand
dollars.

Reformatory
institutions

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That the Treasurer of the
State shall, on the warrant of the Comptroller, dis-
burse said sums of money herein appropriated for
the objects and purposes specified, to or upon the
order of the person or body politic or corporate sev-
erally entitled to receive the same.

Disburse.

SEC. 3. Be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from and after the date of its passage.
