vacancy by ballot after due notice from the pulpit of the church four days previous to the meeting at which time such vacancy is to be filled; provided however, that no one shall be eligible under twenty-one years of age, and that a majority of the trustees shall always consist of members of said church or society worshipping therein.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to authorize the Potomac Bridge Company to borrow money and issue bonds therefor.
|
 
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the Potomac Bridge Company be, and it is hereby authorized to borrow a sum of money not exceeding eighty-five thousand dollars, and to issue therefor coupon bonds to bear interest not exceeding the rate of eight per centum per annum, to be paid semi-annually; the bonds to be signed by the president and countersigned by the treasurer, and secured by deed of trust on the real or personal property of the company or otherwise as the directors may determine.
