the main stem of the road hereby intended, at some suitable point or points thereof to be by them determined, not exceeding one hundred feet wide with as many sets of tracks as their president and directors may deem necessary; and they may cause to be made or contract with others for making said railroad or any part thereof, or of said lateral railroads, and they, their agents, or those with whom they may contract for making any part of the same, or their agents, after the purchase and condemnation thereof in the manner hereinafter prescribed, may enter upon and use. and excavate any land which may be wanted for sites of said railroad, or the erection of the warehouses or other works necessary for the said railroad, or for any other purpose necessary or useful for the construction or repair of the said road or its works, and that they may build bridges, fix	Cause to be made.
scales and weights, lay rails, and may take and use any earth, timber, gravel, stone or other materials which may be wanted for the construction or repair of any part of said road or its works, and may make and construct all work whatsoever which may be deemed necessary or expedient in order to the proper completion of said road. SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That for the purpose of constructing and equipping the aforesaid Elkton and Delaware Junction Railroad, the said company is hereby authorized to borrow money to any amount not exceeding three hundred thousand dollars, the interest thereon to be paid semi-aunually, and to	Borrow mon'y
issue their bonds therefor in sums not less than one hundred dollars, and to secure the payment of said bonds and their interest by executing and delivering to such trustee or trustees, as they may select, a mortgage of all or any part of the road, property, rights, liberties and franchises of the said company in the State of Maryland. SEC. 14. And be it enacted, That the president and directors of said company, or a majority of them, or their agents may agree with the owner or owners of any lands, earth, timber, gravel or other materials for the construction or the repairs, of any part of said road or its works, for the purpose, purchase or use,	May agree.
