LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, it appears to the General Assembly
that the services contemplated by the said act have
been duly rendered by the said Blackiston according
to the true intent and meaning of the same; there-
fore;

Issue warrant
In favor of.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Comptroller of the Treasury of
the State of Maryland shall forthwith issue to the
Treasurer of Maryland his warrant, authorizing and
directing him to pay to the said D. James Blackiston
the sum of three hundred dollars in full compensa-
tion for such legal service rendered in such cases, as,
was contemplated by the act of Assembly of eigh-
teen hundred and seventy-four, chapter sixty-one.

In force

SEC. 2. And be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That this act shall take effect from the
date of its passage.

Approved March 28, 1876.

 

CHAPTER 175.

 

AN ACT to incorporate the purchasers of the Queen
Anne's and Kent County Railroad Company.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, in a certain cause in the Circuit Court
for Queen Anne's county depending, in which Rich-
ard B. Carmichael, Washington Finley and John R.
Emory, trustees named in a certain mortgage exe-
cuted by the Queen Anne's and Kent Railroad Com-
pany, incorporated under act of Assembly passed at
January session eighteen hundred and sixty-seven,
chapter one hundred and forty-two, were complain-
ants, and the said Queen Anne's and Kent Railroad
Company was defendant, the said Circuit Court on
the twenty-first day of April eighteen hundred and
seventy-four, did order and decree that the said Rich-
ard B. Carmichael, Washington Finley and John R.
Emory, trustees as aforesaid, should sell at public
pale, all the estate, property, franchises, rights and
