CHAPTER 149.
AN ACT to pay Herbert F. Moore of Saint Mary's
county for services rendered in the arrest of viola-
tors of the Fishery Law of this State.
WHEREAS. Herbert F. Moore of Saint Mary's
county being summoned by Joseph F. Morgan a
justice of the peace for the State of Maryland in and
for Saint Mary's county in January eighteen hundred
and seventy-five, to render services for the State in
assisting him to capture several parties, seine, boat
&c., engaged in the violation of the Fishery Law of
the State in the waters of said county; and

WHEREAS, the said Herbert F. Moore immediately
rendered the magistrate the necessary assistance, and
at his instance furnished his boat which was much
injured and his wagon, horses and servant to convey
the captured property subsequently confiscated to
Leonardtown at a cost and expense to himself of
thirty-nine dollars, all of which will fully appear
from certificate filed herewith; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Comptroller of the Treasury, be
and he is hereby directed to issue his warrant to the
treasurer for the sum of thirty-nine dollars in favor
of Herbert F. Moore, of Saint Mary's county, for ser-
vices rendered in enforcing the Fishery Law of the
State, on a posse summoned by Joseph F. Morgan, a
justice of the peace for the State of Maryland in and
for Saint Mary's county.
