twelve election districts, the election polls whereof
shall be held respectively as follows, viz: one in
Laytonsville, one in Damascus, one in Clarksburg,
one in Barnesville, one in Poolsville, one in Dames-
town, one at Offuts cross roads, one at Rockville,
one at William E. Darceys store, one at Mitchell's
cross roads, one at Colesville, and one at Mechanics-
ville, and the districts so laid out shall become the
legal election districts of said county in place of those
at present existing, and the Governor shall appoint
immediately thereafter officers of registration for
each of said districts.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That all justices of the
peace, constables and road supervisors residing and
acting within the limits of the districts as now exist-
ing are hereby continued in office and their official
acts shall be as good and binding in law as if they
had been duly appointed and qualified as officers for
said new election districts until their successors shall

not otherwise defective for reasons other than the
want of jurisdiction.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That all laws inconsistent
with the provisions of this act, when approved of by
a majority of the voters of Montgomery county be,
and the same are hereby repealed.
