Authorized &
empowered.

That the County Commissioners of Dorchester
county be, and they are hereby authorized, empow-
ered and directed to levy and pay the sum of one hun-
dred dollars to Charles E. Hay ward State's Attorney
for said county, and the further sum of one hundred
dollars to John W. Crisfield of Somerset county, ap-
pointed by the court as assistant counsel for the State
as additional compensation for professional services
rendered in the case of the State against William F.
McCotter tried in Dorchester county.

In force.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 138.

 

AN ACT authorizing and directing the State Libra-
rian to furnish from the State library, for the use
of the Circuit Court for Wicomico county, a full
set of the decisions of the Court of Appeals and of
the Acts of Assembly, and other books.

Directed to
furnish.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the State Librarian be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to furnish for the
use of the Circuit Court for Wicomico county, a full
set of the reports of the decisions of the Court of
Appeals before the year eighteen hundred and sixty-
eight, Evans' Practice, Barrolls' Chancery Practice,
Bland's Chancery Reports, Maryland Chancery De-
cisions, Digest of the decisions containing the Sta-
tutes of Maryland and Alexander's British Statutes,
and copies of such other books as are usually fur-
nished to the Circuit Courts for the several counties
of the State.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the books to be
furnished under the first section of this act, and all
other books that have heretofore been furnished or
that may hereafter be furnished for the use of the
