SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 111.
AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners
of Frederick county to adjust and settle the account
of William R. Dorsey, Register of voters for Wood-
ville election district number eighteen of said
county, by paying him such compensation for extra
services by him rendered as register aforesaid, as
they may deem right and proper.
Preamble.

WHEREAS, by an act of the General Assembly of
Maryland passed at January session eighteen hun-
dred and seventy-two, chapter one hundred and sev-
enty-nine, entitled ''An act to lay out and establish
a new election district in Frederick county out of
portions of New Market district number nine, and
Liberty district number eight, to be called Woodville
district, or election district number eighteen, " said
new election district was formed, and

WHEREAS, William R. Dorsey of said county was
duly appointed Register of voters for said new elec-
tion district number eighteen, therefore

Adjust and
settle.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Fred-
erick county be, and they are hereby authorized and
empowered to adjust and settle any proper claim of
the said William R. Dorsey, Register of voters for
Woodville election district number eighteen of said
county, for extraordinary services by him rendered
as register aforesaid, in preparing the original list
of qualified voters of said election district, by paying
him such sum of money as they may deem a just,
compensation for such extra services.
