CHAPTER 107.

AN ACT to repeal sub-section five of chapter nine-
ty-four of the acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland, passed at the January session eighteen
hundred and seventy-two, and entitled " an act to
enable or advise the County Commissioners of
Allegany county under article one of the Code of
Public Local Laws, entitled ' Allegany County'
under the head of 'County Commissioners, '" to
appoint a county treasurer to receive and disburse
the county taxes under their orders, by adding after
section twenty of article one the following sub-sec-
tions thereto, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That sub-section five of chapter ninety-
four of the acts of the General Assembly of Maryland,
passed at the January session eighteen hundred and
seventy-two, and entitled " an act to enable or advise
the County Commissioners of Allegany county, under
article one of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled
'Allegany County ' under the head of ' County Com-
missioners, ' " to appoint a county treasurer to receive
and disburse the county taxes, under their orders, by
adding after section twenty of article one, the follow-
ing sub-sections thereto, be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

SUB-SECTION 5. The said collectors, on all sums of
county taxes paid to them by or for any tax-payer,
on or before the first day of September of the year
for which they were levied shall be entitled to a de-
duction of five per centum on the amount of said
taxes; all that shall pay the same on or before the
first day of October of the said year, shall be entitled
to a deduction of four per centum; and all that shall
pay the same on or before the first day of November
