Qualification,
|
SEC. 9. A. And be it enacted, That no person, unless
. he be registered as a pharmacist under this act, or
unless he be an apprentice who has had at least two
years experience under a pharmacist, who has at-
tended at least one full course of lectures on Phar-
macy or Chemistry and Materia Medica, shall be per-
mitted to compound and dispense the pres6riptions,
except as an aid under the supervision of a registered
pharmacist. Any registered pharmacist violating
this section or permitting its violation in any store

under his charge or management, shall be subject to
a penalty or fine of fifty dollars, the one half thereof
to be paid to the board of public school commissioners
of said city for the use of the public schools, and the
other half to the Treasurer of the Maryland College
of Pharmacy for the use of the college.

Shall mix.

SEC. 9. B. And be it enacted, That any person who
shall mix with any substance or preparation used or
intended to be used as an officinal medicine, any
foreign or inert substance for the purpose of adulter-
ating or weakening the same, or shall knowingly
sell or knowingly offer for sale and officinal medi-
cines so adulterated or deficient in standard strength,

shall be deemed guilty of misdemeanor, and subject
to a penalty or fine of fifty dollars, as provided in the
preceding section.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay
John J. Abbott, late Collector of State Taxes in
Carroll county, the amount overpaid by him into
