and transportation for each of the other said dis-
tances, except that nothing in this act contained
shall apply to or in any manner affect the contract
by and under which the said railroad company pur-
chased the railway formerly belonging to the
George's Creek Coal and Iron Company.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That it shall be
the duty of the said Cumberland and Pennsylvania
Railroad Company, to provide and furnish reasonable
facilities, and all cars, including gondolas where re-
quired for local trade; and other vehicles and motive
power for receiving and forwarding all coal that may
be offered for transportation over said railway or
railways or any part thereof, and for delivering said
coal over the same at such place or places on the
Chesapeake and Ohio Canal, or its basins or any other

place or places at or near Cumberland, as the owner
or consignor may designate; provided that such
place or places of delivery shall be furnished with
suitable means and facilities for unloading and de-
livering the said coal, and provided further that if
any such designated place of delivery shall be beyond
the terminus of any such railway or railways, the
owner or consignor of such coal, or the owner or
owners of such place of delivery shall procure for said
railroad company for the transportation of such coal,
upon reasonable terms and conditions and at a cost
to said railroad company not exceeding one cent per

the said railway or railways of said Cumberland and
