A REPRINT OF

ECONOMIC TRACTS

The Johns Hopkins Press invites subscriptions to a reprint
of four notable economic tracts of the nineteenth century, to be
issued consecutively, beginning January, 1903, under the edi-
torial direction of J. H. Hollander, Ph.D., Associate Professor
of Political Economy in the Johns Hopkins University.

The Series will consist of the following tracts :

(1) Three Letters on "The Price of Gold." By DAVID
RICARDO. 1809. (Now ready.)

(2) An Inquiry into the Nature and Progress of Rent. By

T. R. MALTHUS. 1815. (Now ready.)

(3) Essay on the Application of the Capital to Land. By

Sir EDWARD WEST. 1815. (Now ready.)

(4) A Refutation of the Wage-fund Theory. By FRANCIS
D. LONGE. 1866. (In Press.)

Each tract will be supplied with a brief introductory note and
necessary text annotations by the editor. With a view to serv-
ing the largest scientific usefulness, the subscription for the en-
tire series of four tracts has been fixed at net price of One
Dollar (5 shillings = 5 marks = 6 francs).

The edition will be limited to five hundred (500) copies.
