tiffs, and in defeating of the
Judgments given in the Courts
aforesaid: (4) Our Lord the
King, willing herein to pro-
vide Remedy, by the Advice
218* and Assent aforesaid,
and at the request of the fore-
said Commons, hath ordained
and established, That if any
such Writ of Certiorari, or
Corpus cum causa, be granted,
or shall be granted at any time
hereafter, and upon . the said
Writ if it be returned, that the
Prisoner which is so holden in
Prison is condemned by Judg-
ment given against him, that
presently he shall be remand-
ed, where he shall remain con-
tinually in Prison according
to the Law and Custom of the
Land, without being let to
go by Bail or by Mainprise
against the Will of the said
Plaintiffs, until agreement be
made to them of the Sums so
adjudged.
