CAP. VI.
The Statute of Winchester confirmed, and every Sheriff shall pro-
claim it
Item, For the grievous Mis-
chiefs and Complaints that do
daily happen of Robberies,
Thetis Manslaughters. Burn-
ing of Houses, and Ridings in
Routs and great Companies in
every part of the Realm; (2)
it is ordained and assented,
That the Statute of Winchester (the Tenour whereof is
sent by our Lord the King this
Year last past into every
Comity of England to be pro-
claimed) be holden and kept
in all points, and put in good
and hasty execution, at the
Complaint and Pursuit of
every man that feeleth himself
grieved against the Tenour of
the same.

tion, is in force in the same manner as to the general doctrine of the pur-
suit of felons.1
