The bill, as amended, was then read a second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. '
The bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 2 of Article
XVI., of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Prince
(George's County," sub-title "Almshouse," and section 55
of said Article, title "Prince George's County," sub-title
"County Commissioners," and to re-enact the said section 2
of said Article so as to read as follows,
"Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill, entitled an Act ratifying and confirming the ap-
pointment by the Governor of Daniel Clarke and Sydney I.
Wailes, Commissioners on behalf of the State of Maryland,.
to prosecute the claims of the said State against the Govern-
ment of the United States, for expenses incurred under the
Act of Congress, approved on the 27th day of July, 1861,
and fixing the commissions on the amount hereafter to be re-
covered by them and paid into the Treasury of said State,
and to be paid to them in full of their services, and providing
for the filling of any vacancy caused by the death, or refusal,
or failure to act as such, of the Commissioners herein named,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill entitled an Act to regulate fences in Atkison's
Election District, Worcester county,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a.
third reading.
The bill entitled an Act to declare the sanction of the
General Assembly of Maryland to the Vestry of St. Barn-
abas Protestant Episcopal Church, Prince George's county,
to hold twenty-eight acres of land attached on which the
said church is built,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 9, of chapter
438 of the Acts of 1870, entitled an Act to incorporate the
Citizens' Railway Company of Baltimore, and to add addi-
tional sections thereto, , .
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed, for a
third reading.
The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 9, of Article
XX VIII. of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to.
the publication of county expenses, so far as the same relates
to Dorchester county, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments, )
