Also,
The bill, entitled an Act to amend the Act incorporating
the Western Maryland Railroad Company, and to give ad-
ditional powers to said Company.
Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays," with proposed,
amendments, of
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Section 4, add after the word "Baltimore," in the 10th
line, the words "or any other municipal authority in this
State."
Add after the word "Baltimore," in line 12, section 4,
the words "or any other city in this State."
Add to section 13, in line 2, after the word "passage,"
the words "The Legislature reserves to itself the right to
artery amend, or repeal this Act at pleasure "
Strikeout section 12 and insert the following;
Section 12. And be it enacted. That -the exemption of the
capital stock of said. Company as conferred by its charter be,
and the same is hereby, repealed, and. the said capital stock,
as well as all bonds of said Company in the, hands of the
holders thereof, shall be liable to taxation as all other prop-
erty of like kind for State, municipal and, county purposes,
and the Legislature reserves to itself the right, to change the
mode of imposing taxation on said Company as public policy
may in future require.
