Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:
I have the honor to transmit herewith, the annual Report
of the Board of State School Commissioners for the year,
ending September 30th, 1871.

Which was read, and, together with the report of the
Board of State School Commissioners named therein', re-
ferred to the Committee on Education. ,
The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day,
The House proceeded to the consideration of the unfinished*
business of yesterday, being the unfavorable report of the
Committee on Corporations, upon i . >.
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of chapter 187,,
of the Acts of 1868, entitled "an Act to incorporate the
Broad way and Locust Point Steam Ferry Company of Mary-
land," and to grant, on certain conditions, the right to use,
the wharf, known as the County Wharf, and to repeal an i
Act entitled a supplement to said Act passed at January
Session, 1870, chapter 436, so far as the same apply to this
use and occupation of the Bald County Wharf, and to provide®
for the extension and improvement of said County Wharf, and
the reservation of the same, exclusively for the landing of
such fruits, vegetables and other agricultural productions,
as may be brought from the counties of the State, to the City,
of Baltimore, for sale or otherwise.
The question recurring upon concurring in the motion
submitted by Mr. Henkle, to substitute the bill for the unit
favorable report of the Committee.
Pending which,
Mr. Turner demanded the previous question,
Which was sustained,
The question then being, "shall the main question be now-
put?"
It was decided in the affirmative.
