The question then recurring upon the second reading
of the bill,
Mr. Groome submitted the following motion :
Recommit the bill to the Select Committee, with in-
structions to strike out that part of the bill dividing the
city into ten wards, and to perfect that part of the bill pro-
viding for a registry law, and to report the same to this
House on Tuesday next.
The question recurring upon concurring in the motion,
Mr. Bowie moved the previous question.
The question then being,
Shall the previous question be now put?"
