LAWS OF MARYLAND.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Governor of
Maryland and County Commissioners of Prince
George's county shall appoint such officers for said
district as by law they are now authorized respec-
tively to appoint for other election districts of said
county; and the County Commissioners aforesaid
shall do whatever else within the scope of their
power may be necessary to affect the object of this
bill.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted. That all Acts and portions
of Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, in-
consistent with the provisions of tins Act, be and the
same are hereby repealed.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Almshouse.

CHAPTER 368.
AN ACT to provide for the distribution and invest-
ment of the proceeds of sale of the Almshouse
property, of Baltimore county, and of securties
held by and belonging to said county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assemble of
Man/land, That the County Commissioners of Balti-
more county be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to appropriate, out of the proceeds of the
sale of the real estate belonging to said county, and
known as the Almshouse property, now or hereafter
to come into their hands, the sum of sixty thousand
dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, to
the construction and furnishing of a new Almshouse,
tor said comity; and in case there shall be any unex-
pended balance of said sum of sixty thousand dollars,
to apply the same as hereinafter directed in pay-
ment of the outstanding indebtedness of said county.
