So the motion to adjourn was decided in the negative. The question then recurring upon the adoption of the amendment, Mr. Miller submitted the following amendment as a sub- stitute for the amendment submitted by him : Strike out all before sub-section 1, in section 89, and in- sert: "Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That ten days after the passage of this Act." The question being upon concurring in the amendment, Mr. Kirk moved that the House do now adjourn. On motion of Mr. "Feig, The yeas and nays were called, and appeared as follows;
