of this State, it shall be the duty of said Commander
to arrest the offender or offenders, to seize and take
possession of any canoe, boat or vessel, together with
all their tackle and apparel and property found on
board, and deliver them over to the authorities of
said county, to be dealt with according to the pro-
visions of this Act, and the said Commander is
hereby authorized to follow such alleged offender or
offenders, and make such arrest and seizure in any
part of this State, as well as within the limits of said
county.
SEC. 8. And be if enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of May next.

CHAPTER 242.
AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners
of Calvert county to subscribe to the capital stock
of the Baltimore and Drum Point Railroad Com-
pany.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Cal-
vert county, be and they are hereby authorized, in
the name of and for the said county, to subscribe
for and hold shares of stock in the Baltimore and
Drum Point Railroad Company, to an amount not
exceeding one hundred thousand dollars, at the par
value of said shares.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That for the purpose of
meeting the said subscription, the said County Com-
missioners be and they are hereby authorized and
empowered to issue bonds in the name of the said
county, in denominations not less than fifty dollars,
nor more than five hundred dollars, bearing interest
at the rate of six per centum per annum, and paya-
ble within a perod of not more than twenty years
