Allegany county shall appoint three judges for each
of the three districts divided by the lines of the new
county, to hold the election at some convenient point
in said districts, to be designated by said County
Commissioners, and said commissioners shall pub-
lish this law, and the time and place of holding the
election herein provided for by this law, in three
newspapers published in Allegany county, one of
which shall be the Glade Star, and by hand-bills,'
: stuck up and circulated at all prominent places
throughout the limits of the proposed new county,
for at least thirty days before said election for Presi-
dent and Vice President of the United States, to be
held in the fall of eighteen hundred and seventy-two,
the persons named in section eleven of this Act to
take the census within the limits of the proposed
new county, and the Registers of voters in the elec-
tion districts as they now exist in Allegany county,
within the limits of the proposed new county, are
hereby required to circulate and stick up said hand-
bills herein provided for; and the said County Com-
missioners of Allegany county shall allow and cause
to be paid to them a reasonable compensation for
said service.

CHAPTER 213.
AN ACT to repeal section second of article sixty-
four of the Code of Public General Laws, relating
to mortgages, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.
SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of]
Maryland, That section second of article sixty-four,
of the Code of Public General Laws, be and the same
as hereby repealed, and re-enacted so as to read as
follows:
