CHAPTER 18.
AX ACT giving the sanction of the General As-
sembly of Maryland to a certain legacy, bequeathed
by the last will and testament of Elizabeth Rout-
zahn, late of Frederick: county, deceased, to the
Council of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, in
Middletown, Frederick county, Maryland.
SECTION 1. -Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the sanction of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland be and the same is hereby given to
the bequests in the last will and testament of Eliza-
beth Routzahn, late of Frederick county, deceased,
to the Council of the Evangelical Lutheran Church,
in Middletown, Frederick county, Maryland.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 19.
AN ACT supplementary to an Act passed February
seventeenth, eighteen hundred and forty-seven,
chapter sixty-eight, entitled " an Act to incorpo-
rate the Trustees of Buckingham Academy, and
Berlin Female Seminary."
WHEREAS, it is provided in the third section of an
Act passed February the seventeenth, eighteen hun-
dred and forty-seven, chapter sixty-eight, entitled
an Act to incorporate the Trustees of the Bucking-
ham Academy, and Berlin Female Seminary, that in
case any of the said Trustees shall neglect to attend
the meetings of said Board of Trustees for more than
one year, the office of said Trustee shall thereby be-
come vacant, and whereas, no meeting of the said
