1872.] OF THE SENATE. 773 The House bill entitled an Act to amend and re-enact sections 140, 142, 143, 144, to 164 inclusive, of Article VIII of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Cecil County," re- lating to Port Deposit, Which was read and referred to Mr. Miller, Also, returned, The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorizing and direct- ing the State Librarian to furnish torn the State Library, for the use of the Circuit Court for Washington county, a full set of the decision of the (Court of Appeals and of the Acts of Assembly, and other books. Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays, with the following amendment:" AMENDMENT PROPOSED. Add after the word "Court," in line 12. of section 1, the following words, "Provided duplicates are retained for the use of the Library. Which was concurred in, and the bill passed by yeas and nays, as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Miller, Blake, Spates, Carroll, Sell man, Crawford, Steiner, Claggett, Timmons, Downs, Tuck, Earle, Wilson, yields, vVilliams—17. Longwell, NEGATIVE—None. Also, returned, The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments, section 24, of Article XCIV... title "Treasurer," of the Code of Public General Laws. Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed amendments." AMENDMENT PROPOSED. Sec. 2. Be it enacted. That, this Act shall take effect from the date of its passage.
