Longwell, Wilson—14.
The Senate bill, entitled an Act to provide a new Code of
the Statute Laws of the State, and to appropriate a sum of
money for that purpose.
Being on its second reading,
Mr. Stephenson submitted the following amendment:
Printed bill No. 51—Amend by adding the following sec-
tion :
Section 3. And be it enacted. That whenever the State
shall purchase one hundred or more copies of said Code, it
shall be furnished at ten per cent. less than the market price
of said work.
, Mr. Fields moved to amend the amendment by striking
out "tea" and inserting "twenty-five per cent."
Which was determined in the negative as follows :

Fields, Timmons—6.
NEGATIVE.
