356 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 6, A bill, entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with amend- ments, section 44, of Article 24, of the Code of Public Gene- ral Laws, title "Conveyancing." Which was read the first time. On motion by Mr. Williams, Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed- ings, to report a bill to repeal and re-enact with amend- ments, section 99, of Article XVI., of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Chancery," sub-title "Partition. The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and de- livered the following bills : The House bill, entitled an Act to appoint Tobias John- son and others Trustees to sell a certain tract of land belong- ing to the M. P. Church of Clearspring, in Washington county, and to authorize them to give a deed for the same. Which was read and referred to Messrs. Claggett, Ste- phenson and Crawford. Also, The House bill, entitled an Act to add an additional sec- tion to Article XI., of the Code of Public Local Laws of Frederick county, requiring certain duties of the County Commissioners. Which was read and referred to Messrs. Steiner, Davis and Jump. Also, The House bill, entitled an Act to authorize the County Commissioners for Frederick county to subscribe to the capi- tal stock of certain Railroad and Turnpike Companies. Which was read and referred to Messrs. Steiner, Longwell and Davis. Also, The House bill, entitled an Act to punish the shooting of foxes in Somerset county. Which was read and referred to Messrs. Dennis, Sellman and Claggett. Also, The House bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 872, of Article IV., of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore," sub-title "Taxes and Loans," and to enact the following in lieu thereof. Which was read and referred to the Senators from Balti- more City. |
