306 JOURNAL (OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 29, The Senate Joint Resolutions instructing the Senators and Representatives in Congress to use all proper means to in- duce Congress to make an appropriation to deepen the Pa- tuxent river, and place buoys on the bars and shoals of said river, Were read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as. follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Miller, Blake, Stephenson, Carroll, Spates, Crawford, Steiner, Claggett, Timmons, Fields, Tuck, Jump, Williams—14. NEGATIVE—None. Said resolutions were then sent to the House of Delegates. The Senate bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 87, Arti- cle LXXXV., of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Pleadings, Practice and Process," and to re-enact the same with amendments, Was read the second time and ordered to be engrosed for a third reading. The Senate bill, entitled as Act to authorize Wm. P. Cade, of Caroline county, for and on behalf of his children minors, and Wm. A. B. Griffith, of said county, to exchange deeds of conveyance, Was real the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. The Senate bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 16, of Article XXXVIII., of the Code of Public General Laws, so far as the same relates to Talbot county, and to add an addi- tional section to Article XX., Code of Public Local Laws, title "Talbot County," Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. The Senate bill, entitled an Act to prohibit the granting of licenses for the sale of spirituous liquors at or near Emory Grove Camp Ground, in Baltimore county, Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. The Senate bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 882, of Article IV., of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to the city of Baltimore, and to re-enact the same, |
