XVI , of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Chan-
cery," sub-title " Jurisdiction," and to re-enact the same
with amendments,
Being upon its second reading,
Mr. Claggett offered the following amendment:
Amend by adding, "Section 2. And be it enacted, That
this Act shall take effect from the date of its passage."
Which was adopted.
Said bill as amended was read the second time and or-
dered to be engrossed for a third reading.
The Senate bill entitled an Act to amend and re-enact
section 21 of Article V., of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Appeals,"
Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.
The Senate bill, entitled an Act to provide for the protec-
tion of birds and rabbits in Frederick county,
Being upon the second reading,
Mr. Steiner offered the following amendment:
In section 1, line 11, strike out "fifteenth," and insert
"twentieth."
Which was adopted.
Said bill, as amended, was read the second time and ordered
to be engrossed for a third reading.
The Senate bill, entitled an Act to amend section 40, of
Article XXIIl , of the Acts of 1868, title " Worcester
County," by changing the name of Sandy Hill District to
Stockton District,
Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.
The Senate bill, entitled an Act to repeal sections 5 and 6
of an Act to incorporate the Contributors of the Baltimore
General Dispensary, passed at November Session, 1807, chap- .
ter 110, and to re enact the following in lieu thereof,
Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.
The Senate bill, entitled an Act to add new sections to
Article LI., of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled
"Justices of the Peace, and to provide for making judg-
ments rendered by Justices of the Peace liens on land and
leasehold property,
