1872.] OF THE SENATE. 89 Mr. Henry, from a Special Committee, to which leave had been granted, reported ii bill, entitled an Act to repeall the 43d, 41th, 40th, and 73d sections of Article X., of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland., relating: to the Town of Cambridge, in Dorchester county, and to re-enact the same in an amended form. Which was read the first time. Senate bill, entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments, chapter 44 of the Act of' 1870, entitle'! an Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments, section 170, Arti- cle XXX of Public General Laws, entitled "Crimes ami Punishments," sub-title "Rivers," Was read the third time, and On motion by Mr. Miller, Recommitted to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. Mr. Claggett moved to reconsider the reference of the Sen- ate hill, entitled an Act to repeal Resolution No, 46, of De- cember Session of 1811, relating to the Hagerstown Academy. Which was adopted, And the said bill was then referred to the Committee on Education. Senate bill, entitled an Act to make valid certain bequest in the last will and testament of Mary C. Reynolds, of Fred- erick county, deceased, Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Longwell, Carroll, Miller, Crawford, Spates, Claggett, Sell man, Denson, Steiner, Davis , Timmons, Downs, Tuck, Fields, Wilson, Henry, Williams—19. Jump, NEGATIVE—None.
