JOURNAL.
ANNAPOLIS, January 3d, 1872.
STATE OF MARYLAND, TO WIT:
In compliance with the requirement of the Constitution,
the Senators, and Senators elect, assembled in the Senate
Chamber this day.
At 12 o'clock, Augustus Gassaway, Secretary of the late
Senate, proceeded to call the roll, when the following Sena-
tors answered to their names :
Allegany County—Alfred Spates.
Baltimore City—
" " 2nd Legislative District—Henry Snyder.
Caroline County—Daniel Fields.
Cecil County—John M. Miller.
Charles County—Barnes Compton.
Dorchester County— Daniel M. Henry.
Harford County—Wm. B. Stephenson.
Montgomery County—Wm. O. Sellman.
Prince Georges County—George W. Wilson.
Talbot County—Charles E. Jump.
Worcester County—William E, Simmons.
The following Senators elect also answered to their names:
