On motion of Mr. Stone, (the rules being suspended,)
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to introduce a bill to add an additional section to Article
LXXXI. of the Code of Public General Laws or this Stare,
title " Revenues and Taxes," sub-title "Assessment of Stock
for State Purposes. '
The Secretary of the Senate returned,
The House bill', entitled an Act to repeal the fifth section of
an Act entitled an Act to incorporate the Western Avenue
Company, passed January Session, I860, chapter 112, and to
enact the following in lieu thereof,
Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."
Also delivered,
A bill], entitled an Act to provide for the repair and im-
provement of the public roads in Calvert County,
Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."
Which was read a first time, and referred to the Calvert
delegation and Mr. Duvall.
Also,
A bill, entitled an Act authorizing and directing the State
librarian to furnish from the State Library, for the use of
the Circuit; Court for Washington County, a lull set of the
decisions of the Court of Appeals, and of the Acts of Assembly, and other books,
