Mr. Smith submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Dorchester County—add "James Pasterfield, Shadrach
Wingate, James Plummer."

Mr. Linthicum submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Howard County—add "Mary A. Gaither, Mary A. Disney,
Martha Balderston, Ralph Lee, Debora Edmonson, Lydia
Welsh, Thomas Hopkins, Sarah Gordon, Ann Hobbs."
Which was adopted.
Mr. Chapman submitted the following' amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Line 11, after the words "setting forth," strike out all to
the end of the section, and insert the following: 'That the
said pensioner ii in indigent circumstances, and also the affi-davit two respectable witnesses to the fact that the said
pensioner or the person for whose services the said pension is
claimed, was a soldier in-the war of 1812, and that the said
pensioner is now in indigent circumstances, that he "or she is
a bona-fide resident of the State, and was at the time said
service was rendered, and a certificate from the Circuit Court
of the county or one of the Counts of Baltimore City, as the
case may be, to the fact of the credibility of the said witness.''
Which was adopted.
Mr. Griswold submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
That the Comptroller shall audit and adjust the amount
of pensions for all the pensioners herein named from January
1st 1870, who have nut received the. same by reason of mis-
spelling of names heretofore."
