Mr. Chapman, Chairman of a Select Committee, (the rules
being suspended,) reported favorably,
The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed at
January Session, 1870, chapter 61, entitled an Act for the
protection of fish and terrapins in the tributaries of the Po-
tomac river lying in St. Mary's county, and to regulate the
time and manner of catching and taking fish and terrapins
in that portion of the Potomac river between Cobb Point, in
Charles county, and Point Lookout, in St. Mary's county,
and to subscribe the following in lieu thereof.
Which wag read a second time.
Mr. Butler, Chairman of a Select Committee, (the rules be-
ing suspended,) reported favorably,
The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the County
Commissioners of Talbot county, in their discretion, to di-
vide the districts of said county into election precincts, and
to designate the places of holding elections therein.
Which was read a first time.
The bill entitled an Act to equalize the salary of the
Judges of the Court of Appeals with the salary of the
Judges of the several Courts of Baltimore City,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill entitled an Act to pay Frederick Raine, a sum of
money due him for publishing the Laws of the Session of
1868,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact section 20,
of an Act passed at the present Session of the General As-
sembly of Maryland, entitled an Act to regulate the inspec-
tion of tobacco,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to
pay the claims of KeIIy, Piet & Co., and John Murphy &
Co.,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to
pay the claims of Nathan Masters, Henry Kyd Douglas, James
Hopkins, Wm. L. Pfeiffer, John Murphy & Go., King Bros.,
John Sands, John W. Zadoc, P. Henry, Annie G. Boss, N.
O. Neighbors, Elias Spaulding and Isaac S, Banner,
